Centralization of Data in South
Tripura for Effective Monitoring

The Project Team of the EdIndia Foundation in collaboration with the Office of District Magistrate of South Tripura implemented a centralized data input system so that they could achieve the goals of the Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana scheme.

Absence of live village-level data prompted Edindia’s team to formulate a centralized data input system through which the district could update village-wise monthly data of the MTGSY scheme. They were thus able to get real- time data from each village, block, and district. The team further provided visually appealing dashboards that gave meaningful insights for the officers to find their focus areas at the village, block, and district levels. The data also guided them in their review meetings.

Empowering Governance

Within a span of one year the system enabled the officers to find their spheres of action and significant improvements in a few key parameters were seen.

  • The number of farmers holding the Kissan Credit Card grew by 333%.
  • 145% surge in the number of children who got vaccinated.
  • 145% progress was seen in the contribution of veterinary sub-centres.
  • 90% increase in the number of livestock that got vaccinated.
  • Lastly, an important rise of 55% was seen in the number of households with tap connections.

The progress that the data reflected enabled South-Tripura District to win the Best Performing District in Tripura award alongside Sepahijala from the State Rural Development Department.
